Le Mas de la Rose, Provence, France
Can you imagine a more picturesque setting for a wedding than Provence in June? Me neither. Lana and Ian tied the note at Le Mas de la Rose in June 2019 and originally approached me looking for classic stationery with a slightly rustic, chic French feel. I first worked with the couple to design a bespoke Save the Date card, and then later a wedding invitations, handwritten envelopes, menus and fabric signage that all worked effortlessly together.
My design focussed on delicate pointed pen calligraphy and illustrative details, paired with sans serif type. As the venue was open air, we opted for fabric signage to add another chic touch — hanging a table plan banner to a tree and a floaty cotton cocktail menu to the bar. Paper goods were printed or hand-lettered on luxe GF Smith papers and tied with bits of native olive tree. I loved Lana’s idea of combining a place card and a menu into one beautiful, handwritten piece for each place setting.
